Riparian Restoration - Invasive Tree Removal

The Upper Rio Grande Watershed District received grant funding from the New Mexico Water Resources Research Institute to restore riparian areas to their native state. The URGWD chose to use this funding to remove invasive trees from private properties within the District. This project was completed in December of 2024 and restored 4.6 acres of land. The trees were extracted and masticated by Brown Ridge Services, LLC, and the work has been maintained by the landowner.
